Who we are and our mission

Giving Machine Omaha is more than just a fundraiser. We focus on creating a unique experience, proudly part of the #LightTheWorld campaign, sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our mission is to bring the spirit of giving to the Omaha Metro area, encouraging everyone to join hands and make a meaningful impact this Christmas season.

Imagine using a vending machine, but instead of purchasing a snack for yourself, you’re providing essential items like goats for families in developing countries, pairs of socks, polio vaccines, or 100 meals for local seniors in need. That’s the Giving Machine.

Light the world through four simple steps

The Giving Machine makes donating easy and engaging:

  1. Visit: Explore the Giving Machines, offering items for both local and global charities.
  2. Choose: Select as many items as you wish to donate.
  3. Swipe: Giving Machines accept cards or mobile payments only (no cash).
  4. Give: 100% of your donations go directly to your chosen charity.

Making a tangible difference

Sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Giving Machine helps donors give clean water, goats, meals, toys, and more to those in need through a unique giving experience. Your donations go directly to global and local charities, helping change lives right here in Omaha and around the world.

Our main goal each year is to unite the community in a powerful act of collective charity, ensuring that every donation creates a tangible impact for individuals and families in need.

Bringing the Giving Machine to life in Omaha

Volunteers from the local congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints work hard all year to bring the Giving Machine campaign to Omaha. It involves receiving applications and vetting charities, and connecting with community partners to spread the joy. We plan a festive launch event to bring the joy of giving to as many families and individuals during each Christmas season. It’s a rewarding holiday treat, filled with heartwarming moments and inspiring collaboration.
